TH3L4UGH1NGM4N
@Shaithis It seems like Apple's friendship with Nvidia is slowly dying out with their new bonding with AMD so it seems less and less promising on seeing GF 100 kexts sadly. Shaithis
Well, they are working on the 270 series for Lion but I fear they may stop SL drivers at the 250 series. Praying for Lion sooner, rather then later. This friendship may start with graphics cards and end up with CPU's one day... tdtran1025
After installing the update, my sound (alc88b) was not functioning although registering correctly on systems profile. Sadly, I had to default to VooDooHDA, which produces crackles after wake. tdtran1025
No, it did not work, after all the permission repairs. It makes me think the behavior is much like that of Lion, of which I know of no way to deal with, other than installing VooDooHDA. VooDooHDA is great as a workaround, but unfortunately produces artifacts. XLR
VoodooHDA is absolutely unusable imho, you can't even save it's preferences. Buying a $9 USB soundcard would be a much more practical solution. rednous
The solution is bin patching AppleHDA.kext. Look at the end of this post (To binary patch AppleHDA.kext from Terminal). XLR
Sorry for a n00b question, but does bin patching AppleHDA requires any fixes in dsdt, or any HDAnablers or Legacy kexts? rednous
Sorry for a n00b question, but does bin patching AppleHDA requires any fixes in dsdt, or any HDAnablers or Legacy kexts? You just need the respective Audio part in your DSDT.
