Newcom's legacy kernel package Anval's boot loader 5.1.4 tony nvidia update for GTX460(with GraphicsEnabler=Yes) now I have to boot with "arch=i386 -force64 busratio=29" I can't boot with arch=x86_64, it just keep rebooting with some message like "CPU HALTED:......etc." if you know the reason, please let me know -force64 is for the 8G ram but in the ATM it shows 800 instead of 1333....does it really run at 800? any way to fix it? busratio=29 is for the jitter mouse. is there any way I can get rid of it? it decrease the speed right?? sorry ... I'm no expert...I just keep trying and trying .... if there's any chance I can make it better, please help me..... thanks for everyone making this happen.... and welcome any help and suggestion... keypox
I wanna get taht board too, i posted on the thread you linked but taht guy never replied. I bet when 10.6.7 comes out that board will work great. Even thought it shows 800 doesnt meant its running at 800, you can chagne that with a file. But it doesnt matter, what ever the bios has it set at is what it runs at. Edit: smbios.plist is the file, but its only cosmetic.

r0nnie
I have the same board. I works great, only the sound don´t work. How has you get it working? With the AnVal bootloader you can boot in the 64bit modus. 1. You must load the newst packet from this site AnVal 2. You must make all files visible 3. Replace only the boot file with AnVal´s. Make a backup. 4. You needn´t to change anything in the com.apple.boot.plist. After you restart the copmuter, you can the in the activitycenter, that it will boot in 64bit. Sorry for the bad english.. ;-)

cj95
I have that board (not b3) 2600k and 12gb ram. Just installed yesterday. Everything runs so fast. I'm getting 1200something(32bit) on geekbench (cpu @4.2 ghz) Everything working (haven't tested sleep) except that your cpu is not detected , so you cant use monitoring software. My activity monitor shows only one thread (obviously is running 8) Sound working with ##### 3.3 Ethernet working with miltibeast 3.3 Ati 5850 working with Chameleon rc5 ati experimental Everything is perfect exept for hardware detection, but that's likely to come with 10.6.7. scorcho
I have a UD4-B3 and a 2500k, and that GeekBench score doesn't look far off from mine. You can read about my experiences here. Right now I'm using the vanilla kernel and don't have to fiddle with that busratio=29 nonsense. http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=79&t=15747
