Hi All

Have been looking for ages (on eBay etc.) for a copy of Mac OSX Server 1.2 to try out on some old Mac hardware. Anyone have any ideas about where it might be found? It was the OSX Server Apple released before OSX 10.0 proper, and is sometimes called Rhapsody 5.6.

Thanks!

You mean this one, courtesy of Mactracker:

Mac OS X Server 1.0

Codename: "Rhapsody"

Released: March 1999

System Requirements: Power Macintosh G3 or Macintosh Server G3, 64 MB of RAM, 1.0 GB of hard disk space

Distribution Media: CD-ROM

Apple Order Number: MM7348Z/A (International)

Versions: n/a

History: Mac OS X Server was the first public release of MacOS X and featured Apple's new Darwin UNIX core, but like Rhapsody, MacOS X Server had a very unattractive NeXT-like interface. Therefore, a lot of users wondered what the future GUI of the MacOS would look like.

I have a boxed retail copy of OS X Server 1.2 (PowerPC).

Are you interested in buying it?
