glassJAw
I've found that this motherboard works best but its a little too expensive. this one ASUS P5LD2-VM Socket T (LGA 775) Intel 945G Micro ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail it goes for about 106.00 dollars. Is there anything cheaper that works fully with no problem? I just want to build a cheap mac. Don't need leading performance. MacApprentice
The P5LD2-VM is a bit pricey but you should consider the investment, cause it works so damn good with OSX Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/24597-best-budget-motherboard-for-best-compatibity-with-osx/#findComment-165745 Share on other sites

MacSimizeDenver
See...I have the Elitegroup 915P-A, which should work properly with OSX (but it doesn't). After trying some other boards I finally decided to order the P5LD2 Mobo. Until now I had a lot of different probs with the mobos, sometimes with usb, sometimes audio or ethernet.... So before spending less money and recognize it doesn't work as expected spend some more bucks for something people trust on. that's my advice.... archer75
So with that Intel board could you have a 100% functionly, full speed OSX 86 system? Everything works flawlessly? Could you put in an ATI x1600 or ATIx1900xt and get full 3D acceleration for gaming? I'm looking for the most compatible OSX 86 system you can build or buy. Any pre-built dell systems that would work? glassJAw
Are you using OSX86 with this motherboard? If so, what version do you have and how compatible is it. For example how hard was it for detecting all drivers. Thanks!
