The system specs are above. I've tried lots of things... - iDeneb v1.3 (OS X v10.5.5)... "Still waiting for root device". I solved this by changing IDE to AHCI in the bios. Then i rebooted and got this huge error. " Debugger called: (panic) " then tons of lines of random letters and number, i will type them out if u need the exact full error. Then underneath that is huge paragraph it says: " BSD process name corresponding to current thread: kernal_task Mac OS version: Not yet set " - iDeneb v1.4 (OS X v1.5.6) SAME PROBLEM AS iDeneb v1.3... - iATKOS v7 SAME PROBLEM AS iDeneb v1.3 and iDeneb v1.4 I also used borrowed my friends legit Snow Leopard DVD and burned ##### on a DVD. Chose "Mac OS X Install DVD" (##### this doesnt give me a choice to boot in verbose mode) It shows the white backgound with the Apple and never makes it to the install menu. Please help I REALLY want Mac OS X (Leopard or Snow Leopard, preferably Snow Leopard) on my computer and have no idea what I can do to get it working. Either buy a copy of Snow Leopard (it's really cheap) or burn a .dmg of snow leopard onto a dual layer dvd. Then download ##### or empire efi. Make sure to set your sata controller to ahci before you run either of these. Then once it loads one if these disks, take it out, then pop in the snow leopard disk. It should boot up no problem and allow you to install. I have tried every distro that you mentioned, and had the same errors. Using ##### or empire efi always has worked for me on all my computers. termitn
I had same problems but for me it helped to boot with the followed flags -f (reload all kernels) and -v (verbose mode). Cant you type before choosing boot Mac OS install -f -v ? To write symbol "-" type ß.
Foxic
I had the same problem, ##### supported will not boot the retail disk, I had to use nawcom (successor to empire efi) to boot and install, once installed and MB kexts installed ##### supported would allow me to boot. FWI: type: -x for safe mode -v for verbose -f for force fo when you see the apple logo in chameleon type -v and hit enter. Hope this helps.
