juanml82
I've reinstalled OSX 10.6.0 a few days ago and tried to upgrade to 10.6.4 After rebooting, the system doesn't start. Here's a pic What does it mean and how can be fixed?

shiroitaka
Is there a modified combo update? I have installed all other updates but stuck on 10.6.3 as every time I try to install 10.6.4 it kills my install!
juanml82
Ok, I've deleted the AppleIntelCPUPowermanagement.kext from the S/L/E folder and it's now working. It does seem to be a common problem, I don't know if someone is making an faq list or something, but if someone is, it should be added. EDIT: No, it didn't work. I rebooted and now I have the same error, even thought the kext is no longer there
DavidAnberlin
I've reinstalled OSX 10.6.0 a few days ago and tried to upgrade to 10.6.4 After rebooting, the system doesn't start. Here's a pic What does it mean and how can be fixed? "juanml82" Try bootiing with -f switch. It should bypass the kext cache. Also consider including the NullCPUManagement.kext. It Should negate the need for deleting AppleIntelCPUPowermanagement.kext. For me after I update my system gets stuck on the gry logo with the loading circle =/ Is there any fix for that. For your problem it might be the same as mine because I get stuck at the same txt when I try to boot in safe mode. boot in verbose mode to view the error and post it here. Press -v at boot. Rob24
Try botting using -v -x32. Thats what I did and mine boots up perfectly now.

fmillion
Pardon my asking, but, on a Dell Mini 10v with the Atom processor, did you get the latest 10.4.0 hacked kernel from this forum and install it after updating to 10.6.4? http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...197020&st=0 You need kernel 10.4.0. You will have to somehow get access to the drive so you can rename the existing mach_kernel and copy the new kernel and rename it mach_kernel. -fm Neebie here.
