  1. Delete the sleepenabler.kext file from Extra/Extensions/ or System/Library/Extensions/
  2. Cool, cheers guys. I wont be using HDMI, only DVI and VGA. I'll be going for a Corsair TX 850 psu, instead of the Fractal one. Just to be safe.
  3. For speed and ease of setup, I plan to use the MyHack installer, which worked a dream on my Q6600 machine. Do these components seem like good choices?
  4. Hey guys, I need to re-do my Hack. Ricola's method worked once for me, but now its really giving me issues. Everytime I run the SL installer on my HDD (which is in a USB caddy) it fails part way through, and sometimes KP's too. I'm running this on a Leopard partition on a REAL MACBOOK. Any thoughts why the installer could be messing up? I've unticked all the extra fonts and languages, and even ticked off X11 too.
  5. Chameleon 2.0rc3. See signature for specs on the machine. 1. Ran through Ricola's Abit IP35 Pro tutorial: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=182123 This step got the actual OS installed. 2. Put the following kexts in E/E on the SL partition: AHCIPortInjector.kext Disabler.kext dsmos.kext EvOreboot.kext (this replaces OpenHaltRestart.kext; no need for both of them!) fakesmc.kext IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector.kext PlatformUUID.kext (this has my UUID from the procedure in Ricola's tutorial) SMBIOSResolver.kext 3. I went into S/L/E and deleted AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext Rebooted into SL with -v, just to check there were no errors, and it booted. 4. Ran Nvenabler 64 from here: http://nawcom.com/osx86/files/Graphics/NVI...tors/NVEnabler/ Presto; fully working Snow Leopard system; running 32bit EFI, 64bit kernel. Massive thanks to; Ricola, Netkas, Realityiswhere, and the Chameleon dev team. Anyone I've forgotten, sincerest thanks to you too! OSX86 = addictive. Someone please delete the dupes

  8. Hey folks! Fixed my prior KP, by updating to Chameleon 2 rc3, on the SL drive. But, now I'm getting a hang, like this:
