horst.schlemmer
Hi there, in the past i used firefox and was very happy with it, now i am using safari, because it loads very fast and everything works fine with it so far. But what i'm missing very much is the possibilty of firefox to add other searchsites to the safari searchbar, for i.e. php manual, amazon.de etc. Maybe its possible, but i dont now how to do, and the search here didnt give me any good information about that. thanx for any hint! ps: sorry for my not so good written english Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/23557-add-searchsites-to-the-safari-searchbar/ Share on other sites
Takuro
There's no application to do this for you. You have to manually change the default search engine by using Terminal to modify the Safari executable. If you're familiar with Terminal, it's fairly easy though. Here's a step-by-step process: http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?sto...030514035516436 Although I can't see why you'd want to use anything but Google. I used Google to find that solution, and I honestly doubt I could have found it as quickly with any other engine. To each his own... kagaku
Is there any way to search from the safari address bar? I know it sounds like an odd request, but sometimes i find myself typing search requests into the address bar on accident.
