anibalin
10.6.4 supports the new gts450 guys? anyone tested it out? thanks.
Gringo Vermelho
No. The only Fermi cards that work at this time are GF100 based cards 465, 470 and 480, with disappointing performance and an annoying vsync issue. As you can see in this table - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nvidia_Quadro#PCI_Express - the Quadro 4000, 5000 and 6000 uses the GF100 chip as well, that explains why only the GF100 based Fermi cards are supported by the drivers so far. Your card uses the GF106 chip. See this table: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GeForce_400_S...#GTX_400_Series Keep an eye on this topic for the latest Fermi news and endless repetition of questions that have already been asked: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=214219

Nghia Developer
I'll request NVIDIA to develop and release 460 GTX driver, you should do that to, if more and more people do that then the chance will be steady increasing
Gringo Vermelho
I'm no industry expert but I believe it's not up to nvidia. Nvidia has contractual obligations to Apple. Don't you think that it would be extremely bad for business if they started releasing OS X drivers for chips that aren't available for users of real Apple computers? Why do you think there are no 64-bit EFI firmware updates or drivers for NV40 (Geforce 7xxx series) cards? Because Apple doesn't want it, that's why. You guys will have to wait for a third party to release an EFI based Mac video card that uses the GF104 or GF106 chip.

anibalin
@Carstiman turn off your box (do not restart) and turn it back. Should work (you should see nvcap etc etc) instead of the nvidia rom patching error.

fatum
for now i get it work with injektion. now i will check if it work for hdmi too What steps did you take to install OSX with your GTS 450? From what I've read, it seems that the nVidia Injection is for post install. Did you use your on-board GPU, and then install the Fermi drivers after OSX was installed? Would really appreciate any help!
