Something wrong with the Chameleon repo? The wizard can't see anything at the moment...

Hi Hervé.

I don't have any OsX ATM.

And I not commit any 2380 or Yosemite patch until I'm completely sure is BUG free...

I hope you understand the no priority... Because Yosemite is only a developer preview for now..

HUSABER... You use the same boot.plit for both system right?

We'll if so can you kindly remove the flag from your boot.plist? Because the kernel path is funded automatically

@HUSABER,

I can see in your screenshot that you still have the mach_kernel in the root /.

To prove autodetection works, you would need to remove mach_kernel from / & let chameleon find /System/Library/Kernels/kernel by itself ie without specifying its location in the Boot.plist....

People any other feedback?

Will provide ASAP when I get back on my hack :) ...

From memory, I initially used @chris1111's installer which placed mach_kernel on the / of my installer USB.

After I installed r2380 on the USB, I moved the mach_kernel to /System/Library/Kernels (I had to create this folder on the USB - on the hard drive install, it is already there) and renamed it kernel.  Unfortunately (from memory) it did not find the kernel without specifying the location in the boot.plist...

I will have to test this on the actual Yosemite install on the hard disk though...

You need to have a kernel either on root or  /System/Library/Kernels/kernel on your USB installer during installation, and specify it in Boot.plist. But once Installed and assuming that Ermac's boot file works, we dont need to specify it in Boot.plist nor having a kernel in root... The boot file will auto detect it which we all know thats its in /System/Library/Kernels/kernel

Can you do a final test with this o.c.b.p to put inside your Yosemite Extra folder?

If this works, .:ErmaC:. becomes Emperor

You remowe mach_kernel or not?

Yosemite right?

And kernel is present in /System/Library/Kernels/kernel ?

whether chameleon now chooses the path to the kernel???
