Intel core i7 950 overclocked to 4.2 GHz. 2 x Corsair Reactor Solid State drives Raided together. Running Snow Leopard 10.6.5. motherboard tray from coolermaster wavemaster case. Manu0600
I don't understand the point of making a side window if you hide the CPU and stuff by a cover. It is just to show people you have 3 gtx 480 which is useless.
geiman
Wow, very beautiful. Yet again, another awesome G5 mod from aqua-mac. Ever think about starting a business...
aqua-mac
Thanks Smith@@ & geiman for the encouragement, I really enjoy doing this (but the day job keeps getting in the way!).

aqua-mac
Cheers blackosx, I'm really enjoying using this. The two 140 x 50 mm front fans really chill the CPU (40 - 42 degrees at idle and rock steady) even at 4.2 GHz. When you give it a workout as soon as you stop the temp plummets back to low 40's. Looking forward to some better drivers from Apple, I'm sure they will come soon.
Manu0600
I was badly commenting about your window, thats just a choice you made. Otherwise, you did a VERY good job !! You could go for liquid cooling system don't you think ?

aqua-mac
Hi there, Yes I made them myself using equipment we have at work. The side is straightforward as it is just flat sheet cut to shape and drilled. We also have a folding press to for bending metal but this is possible to do by making a jig. For cutting the fan hole I used one of these:
