gwprod12
I dont think it's a coincidence! I think it's a back-to-school conspiracy engineered by overbearing Mothers who want to call their poor college freshman children constantly, and on the cheap! It's wrong and it cant be allowed! dtm3dd
The fact that an iPhone is coming out is pretty much certain - patents have even been filed by apple to that effect - but that still doesnt tell us if or when it will be released.
ampTK
Apple is working on a phone, there is little doubt about that, but an iPhone release at WWDC... seems unlikely, specially considering the far more serious contradictory reports. And the story about the photographer has a big hole, if they were to release the phone at WWDC the pictures had to be taken months ago
domino
So does this mean Apple will lock out WM5 Smart Phones? Or does that mean MS will have no chance to port over ActiveSync on Apple's OS and we have to pay 3rd party developers to sync? Bummer
cyrana
So does this mean Apple will lock out WM5 Smart Phones? Apple lets other stuff work w/iTunes, so I doubt they'd actively work to make other phones not work with iSync.
domino
Do they work now? No, but I'm still hanging on that string of hope that one day ActiveSync can be ported to work with MS apps on both OS X and Windows. The Windows Mobile application for Vista is worlds apart from the XP version and syncs well with Office 2007. I'm hoping that AS will be available for Mac when the new MS Office for OS X is released, if released. The Smart Phone market is growing and no doubt Apple is getting in on that action. SO I hope they don't bottleneck the competition.
Takuro
They ran the latest iPod Updater through a hex editor and found a lot of references to the "iPhone," including mentions of a call record and other things. At this point, as people have said, there is almost no doubt that they will make an iPhone. However, all the pictures and "leaks" containing insider information have all been fake up to now.
