nandor690 Posted September 16, 2010 Share Posted September 16, 2010 I just added this bio patch to my g41m-es2l rev 1.0 and took out the dsdt file from E/E and everything is working perfectly. Is there a way to make the apple splash screen last about 1 to 2 seconds longer so you dont see the original gigabyte startup screen at the end right before it goes to the bootloader? nandor690 Posted September 18, 2010 Share Posted September 18, 2010 Has anyone gotten this bios to be acpi complaint. i just tryed to install windows 7 on a seperate hard drive and it crashes after windows loading screen. g41m-es2l rev 1.0 sorry i forgot this on my last post Is this bios just a patch for what ever bios i am on right now. if so, i am on bios f4 right now and maybe i could update to different bios and try this. If anything happens to your board, I WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR. I was not sure to make this modification - this board works really nice with dsdt.aml and a few kext and it is a cool and stable budget solution for OSX. But today I was crazy enough to give your bios mod a chance. It seemed to work so far. Will test it and so I ask you -will there be any further development or a chance for a stable release? Or is this release maybe stable enough and miss only a few features (shutdown by power button)? But anyway, thx for your work. Laney [Edit] Some tests: -Shutdown works ok app. 15 sec. from executing shutdown -h now to shutdown -same like with EvOreboot.kext -Sleep: - every sleep.kext I try, sometimes work or not, (did n`t awake from sleep) I think thats a problem with my lots of USB Devices, because it works with lesser USB Devices, So also this Bios Mod doesn't help to solve my sleep prob (which is not so bad and I think Apples fault; Real Mac User tell me the same that Sleep sometimes don't work when a lot USB Midi Devices enabled....) I have only Mac OsX 10.6.4 installed at the moment, everything works except the onboard graphics, which I know won't work. Thanks.
