Hamid Posted June 30, 2006 Share Posted June 30, 2006 hi everyone im hamid, i have been trying to install mac os but i got a problem, the part that i have to download the image! its a *.tar file and i dun know what program should i use to convert it to *.iso or burn it dvd! i dun really know which one i should burn: the files inside the tar or the tar to the dvd???!!! ill be very appreaciated if you can answer to my questions! sam_the_killer Posted June 30, 2006 Share Posted June 30, 2006 Bascially a .tar is kind of a extension given to a compressed file used to store data just like a .zip or .rar format.. if u have utilities in windows like WinRAR 3.5, u can extract the .tar archive to obtain a .iso or whatever maybe the content of the archive(.tar)..
