Intel has officially introduced Core i7 quad-core processors geared specifically for notebooks

Um...maybe an upgrade for the minis and imacs....or the desired "mac mini-pro", because 8 threads is a great engine for our machines, jeeje.

And here a review from Anandtech : http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/showdoc.aspx?i=3647

I'm going to buy a new Mac Book when its updated.

I expect the next update to the Mac Book to be in Q1 '10 and to use the (arrandale) core i7 (dual core 4 threads) along with the new (surprisingly powerful) Intel Graphics.

I also expect the iMac and the Mac Pro to be the first to receive the Core i7, and probably the 4 core version (clarksfield).

This is just my opinion though. Can't wait to see what Apple does with these new Core i7s.
