I have a AMD64, and a legal serial copy of Vista. Is it possible to use my current legal key, and register/activate with a differnt copy. The one i got is a (Februart CTP x86 5308 Ultimate), so perhaps i should just find a copy.... of the 64 bit version, and use my good key on that. Any one know?

Thanks

I havnt installed my 32bit version yet. Im just wondering if the 32bith serial is 'locked' to the 32 bit version. If not, I'll just get a copy of 64bit version and use my serial on that one. Also, does anyone know if you can update to newer dev builds as time goes on?

Nope , the serial for 32 bit is not the same for 64 bit version and the serials for every CTP are not the same. But you can always request a new key if you are legit beta tester.

Drats, I so wanted to have a 64bit version running. I guess this 32 bit will have to do. BTW I got it at one of those AMD system builder events.

supposedly the 64bit version of vista is horrible right now anyway (havent tried it myself)

so youre probably doing yourself a favor anyway
