instapho
Hey so my mobo's dead but cpu (p4HT 2.8) still works.. so in the market for a new one. The only motherboard that I can find that had the GMA900 and came in Socket 478 was the: ASrock p4dual-915gl, and its been discontinued so it's been hard to find any in stock. Are there any other motherboard manufactuers that make/sell skt 478 in chipset 915 (GMA900)? LaesQ
colonels1020: What/how have you got MacOSx86 running on it? I ask as I've tried native installs with a Goatsecx 10.4.6 iso and also a Universal install 10.4.5 iso. Both give me screwed up video so I can't do the final stage of setup. The first section of setup works fine, I can select where I want to install, what I want to install, and it all goes on fine. But after the reboot, the video gives me very odd things, blue screen with mouse, grey screens with mouse and even a nice corrupt pink screen without mouse. Any suggestions would be great. Cheers, LaesQ Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/16463-gma900-in-socket-478/#findComment-137919 Share on other sites
U.C.
I hate my computer dealer. I bought a board, MSI-PM8M-V, a month back. WHen I asked her for a 915 + P4 478 MB. But she told me that nothing like that exists. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHH Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/16463-gma900-in-socket-478/#findComment-138007 Share on other sites

Cheers, LaesQ I had similar issues on a diffrent board but with a gma 900. I had to mess with the video ram settings in the bios. My check that out.
