koushiro
Hi, i just upgraded to 10.5.6 Kalyway and it looked fine at first, but then my mail in thunderbird, firefox settings, itunes library all where broken. The files are there, but its as if it cant access them. The folder icons are all gone as well. I cant find a FAQ on this, any help would be great. Thanks, Josh Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/160543-upgrading-to-1056-lost-all-my-settings-firefox-plug-ins/ Share on other sites

Olotiar
Yeah, it's pretty normal : after the installation is complete you just have to reboot to use your computer again. I figured it out when I saw that kext were interpreted as folders rather than as file (its cause they are truly folders in fact) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/160543-upgrading-to-1056-lost-all-my-settings-firefox-plug-ins/#findComment-1124135 Share on other sites

I then rebooted again after that and then it works. MacUser2525
O, i mean, I did reboot after the installation, and i got those issues. I then rebooted again after that and then it works. Thanks, Josh Sometimes when OS X is upgraded it needs a second reboot to complete the process looks like yours must have skipped the second reboot and continued on to starting the Desktop instead thus the configuration was not done properly until you rebooted again.
