Darwinian Dude
Anyone seen this? I only found it tonight. Gives XP the look and feel of Mac OS X for the most part. You get a dock and it's actually confusing becuase i keep doing mac things and it doesn't work because it's XP. But is great for having your mac still look like a mac when you boot into XP. Check it out. http://osx.portraitofakite.com Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/15978-flyakiteosx-anyone-seen-this/ Share on other sites
djmastera2000
Yes, i had this package too, but it is very very processor intensive, but looks great on XP, lol Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/15978-flyakiteosx-anyone-seen-this/#findComment-102564 Share on other sites
TopazBar
Yes. I've used it since v2.0. It makes Windows look so good. This is why I got interested in Mac OS X in the first place. errandwolfe
I am running this package on a Compaq V5101 laptop with a Sempron 3300+ CPU, 768 Mb RAM, and Radeon 200M GPU, runs fantastic for me. Most of the time zero lag, ocassionally will take an extra half second or so to display the dock. I absolutely love it! Only thing missing is an Expose type component, if anyone ever finds one that works even half as good as OS X let me know. So far every Windows Expose product I have used is true garbage. Back to my main point though...if you have a machine that is stuck on Windows but still has decent CPU/Mem/Graphics then I HIGHLY recommend this! Ezhoon
It's the easiest and one of the most elegant way of transforming the default WinXP skin. Just double click the installer and you are done!! I wouldn't recommend the dock program, though. It's kind of buggy and made my system way too slow. Ezhoon I have to disagree with you there. I would go so far as to say it is the best (Windows) dock program I have used. MUCH better then ObjectDock. I can honestly say say it runs about 95% as well as the native OS X dock. No delays at all most of the time, very smooth scrolling, doesn't hog much memory. Darwinian Dude
Your solution: This: http://www.otakusoftware.com/topdesk/ This gives you Epose functionality, almost identical, and you can customise it. You can make it exactly like Expose or like Flip3d from Windows Vista if that takes your fancy, which it doesn't for me! errandwolfe
Tried that TopDesk software, works great. Too bad it is not a free product or I would recommend it get included in Fly A Kite.
