OXFORD AMERICAN DICTIONARIES is what mac uses it says dictionaries but it's an encyclopedia

Just use Wikipedia. It works on any OS that has an internet connection.

 

On Apple's Dashboard site, there's a handy little Wikipedia widget. Highly reccommend it.

Sometimes, I just get so frustrated (see sig) that I post something absolutely cruel. So this post was edited.

 

I hope this link works because it's a link to the Apple Store and they tend to go wonky. It took me less than a minute to find it (and this includes load times on my poor, beleagured 56k modem.
