sportman
It has been reported by a few users that native sound is possible in OSX. It appears that the sound card need to be intergrated with your motherboard, AC97 compatible drivers are supposivly working. ----Sportman Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/149-native-sound/ Share on other sites

Overdriven
The Realtek "Integrated HD Audio" included on my intel desktop board with the 915 chipset worked beautifully. Now if only my Audigy2ZS would work fully (The FireWire port is recognised, nothing else).... ThePhased
I have a 915gm notebook..the audio is not even detected. I think my notebook uses the ALC880 chip. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/149-native-sound/#findComment-1523 Share on other sites

banini_jeque
I have a C-media 8738 and it doesn't work. I'm not sure if it should, cuz I don't know how different it is from the 9738. I wonder what, if anything, Mac Girl had to do in order to get her 9738 to work.
