CrazyPigeon
Hello, I got a copy of Missing Sync the universal binary, and whenever I open it, it flashes a window and then closes. I think it is a problem with the registration system because I can see the registration window, anybody else have this problem? billybollock
I have a similar problem. If I try installing the Missing Sync 5.1 Trial I get as far as the installation check then windows flashes for a fraction of a second. I assume this is the registration window, and I then get a message that Missing Sync for Palm OS cannot be installed on this computer. If I remove the installation check from the installer package I can get the trial to install, but It crashes when I launch the application. When I launch from the terminal the full output is shown below. 2006-04-23 12:21:20.167 Missing Sync for Palm OS[302] CFLog (21): Cannot recognize type of executable for CFBundle 0x3e3780 </Library/Application Support/Palm HotSync/Conduits/Photos Conduit> (not loaded) 2006-04-23 12:21:21.430 Missing Sync for Palm OS[302] *** -[NSBundle load]: Error loading code /Library/InputManagers/Menu Extra Enabler/Menu Extra Enabler.bundle/Contents/MacOS/Menu Extra Enabler for bundle /Library/InputManagers/Menu Extra Enabler/Menu Extra Enabler.bundle, error code 2 (link edit error code 0, error number 0 ()) 2006-04-23 12:21:25.906 Missing Sync for Palm OS[302] *** Assertion failure in -[NSTextFieldCell _objectValue:forString:errorDescription:], AppKit.subproj/NSCell.m:1298 It looks like there is an error showing the registration box. Does anyone have any ideas here, as I would like to try this software. CrazyPigeon
I have that same error, it is the registration window because when I ran it in rosetta mode I saw it clearly then it closed. Anyone know what is causing this/how to get around it? domino
Can you prove that the drivers are universal? If not, dont waste your time until the author verifies it is. domino
Is this 2.5 Alpha for WM5 only or is WM2003 also supported. I had to downgrade to WM2003 for Linux and Mac support. domino
Tried the Alpha and errors all over the place. First reboot the deamon gave errors. Hooked up to USB/cradle and also gave error about USB something or another. Tried to BT sync and would not sync. Sent error message to markspace. Looks like it's gonna be a few months till we get a reliable PDA Phone sync app. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/14782-the-missing-sync-universal-binary-woes/#findComment-130564 Share on other sites

domino
is your PDA windows mobile 5 ?, coz i think the alpha version is intended for that only According to the documents in the installer it does support WM2003. In anycase, I have WM2003 installed in my testing. mr_projects
thanks domino so WM2003 works in your setup, hmm.. ok , can someone else with an AMD cpu verify if the app works or not, there is no need to attach any PDA via usb, im just checking if the app by itself works on AMD or not thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/14782-the-missing-sync-universal-binary-woes/#findComment-130770 Share on other sites

moonislune
Same thing to me. Install without any problems but the program cannot sync. Ditto. It really stinks not being able to sync to Windows Mobile 5 with my mac. Funny thing is, I can run WinXp in Parallels and activesync and sync up just fine. Seems like there might be a problem with the MissingSync. The sad thing, is that syncing with Windows doesnt do me any good since all my apps are on mac. moonislune
Exact;ly the same for me i will love an iphone!!! Me too. Hopefully the iphones will come out soon. For those who are reading this post, I think I may have isolated the problem to a kernel dependency. For some reason at start up, every version of osx I have shows this error Extension "com.apple.iokit.IOUSBMassStorageClass" has no kernel dependency I think that's what is keeping us from syncing. You can check your boot errors by going into terminal (applications->utilities) and typing sudo dmesg Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/14782-the-missing-sync-universal-binary-woes/#findComment-204406 Share on other sites
