I got an Athlon64 3000+ (with sse2, no sse3) Geforce 6600GT, Neo4 mobo, runs fine (besides PPC apps)

This is very interesting. What is the story with the Geforce 6600GT? Is it running Quartz Extreme?

How about running the Xbench Universal binary and posting the results?

Mitac 8050D: Pentium-M (Dothan) 1.6GHz, Intel 855, ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 Pro 128MB

ThinkPad X31: Pentium-M (Banias) 1.4GHz, Intel 855, ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 16MB

Acer Travelmate 2303: Celeron-M (Banias) 1.5GHz, Intel 855, Intel Extreme Graphics 2 set at 32MB

All work fine - network, sound, etc... No graphics acceleration on any of them.

How did you get it to install on the X31? that's similar to my Toshiba, but I thought it required SATA?

Custom: P4 (Prescott) with 915 chipset, GMA and 6600GT (GMA looks better) Installed to a IDE HD I had laying around. Works great, Integrated Audio good in iTunes, just couldnt get network to work, only recognised my Firewire card. Sony PSP works on USB, Beautiful Graphics w/ CoreImage and Quartz Extreme. I wish my Linksys card or integrated ethernet would work. Plz help me with network if possible. Other than that 100% stable. I installed via DVD with patched rosetta, thats all!

Curious, I have AMD 64 3500+ (no SSE3) Geforce 6600 (non GT) Neo4 mobo too but it does not run :), but in VMWare runs fine, also the same harddisk on a Celeron D with VIA Chipset mobo runs flawlessly, even iTunes smoothly. I hate that.

Maybe changing some BIOS settings?

Hi, I have GMA900 also, how did you get GMA900 to be detected correctly? did you just skip the CoreGraphics patch?

Athlon64 3200+ (with sse2, no sse3), 512 PC 3200 RAM, Geforce 6800GT, fujitsu-siemens MB

starts only with "platform=x86pc" or ACPI;

no USB;

no sound (Sigmatel chip) - no known audio 'tricks' helped;

images not with 'preview' of but with i-photo;

no direct DVD play (neither DVD player nor VLC), but plays .vob files -bit jerky

I have P4-Northwood 2.80 GHz (sse2), 512 MBytes DDR-SDRAM, mVidia GeforceFX5900, Soltek MOBO w/VIA PT880, 3com ethernet adapter. Onboard sound.

Starts without any special boot options.

Network's fine (as long as I use a 3com card instead of the onboard)

Sound's o.k., but only in mono (left channel)

Stability OK

Boot OK (no switches, and really fast!)

Network not negotiating

Audio works (at least, when I change volume it clicks!)

No Acceleration of ANY kind (Vesa 2.0 Compatible {censored} :))

Maybe my spare HD is too old! :P

Check the signature for specs...

ANY KNOWN DUAL NETWORK CARD CONFIGURATIONS WORKING?
