InorganicMatter
Like the title says, which of all the current Netbooks plays nicest with OSX86? I'd like something in the lower end of the price spectrum, so that kind of discounts the $500 Dell and HP systems. JBLanteigne
I think the MSI wind and Samsung NC10 are the two best candidates However, you have the change the wifi card and the audio might not work at 100% There are a bunch of threads about this subject, do a search for the MSI wind and Samsung NC10 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/141306-what-netbook-makes-the-best-hacbook-nano/#findComment-1001395 Share on other sites
Wman
Well. I've heard (and seen) that the MSI Wind works best (though I've never actually tried installing OSX86 on it myself), but I would really like to see it run on a original (or 900) asus eee pc, simply because I find the eee the best looking of the netbooks (except the MiniNOte, which looks kinda mac), but I know its hard to run OSX86 on. There is a site called: http://www.maceee.com/ and there's another one too, which I think has more info on it, but I can't find it... and there's this: http://uneasysilence.com/archive/2007/11/12654/ the eee is easy to tinker with but its CPU isn't great for Leo. I heard the atom ones like MSI Wind are better. Maybe OSX.4 Tiger and this... http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=102947 and I made a thread about it but no one really posted. nintendoguy
The dell mini 9 has a large mac os x community behind it and everything works but sleep with the stock ssd. Replacement ssd's do work with sleep though. just look here http://mydellmini.com/forum/mac-os-x-f23.html Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/141306-what-netbook-makes-the-best-hacbook-nano/#findComment-1002333 Share on other sites
