Orea
Reports are coming in that it's horrible to play even on a high end rigs let alone a macbook - i'd give it a miss. Buy a PS3/360 and play with mates. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/140345-gta-iv-on-a-macbook/#findComment-995428 Share on other sites

netkas
this game needs quad core @3+ GHz for any good FPS with high settings look @ http://www.pcgameshardware.com/aid,669595/...cessors/?page=2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/140345-gta-iv-on-a-macbook/#findComment-999229 Share on other sites
Erño
No it doesn't. My (single) 2,8 GHz Mac Pro runs it quite well. The game eats a lot of RAM. You need like 4 gigs minimum. 512 megs of VRAM is enough. Though 8800 GT doesn't run it so well for some reason, but 9800 GT and ATi HD 3870 do. The more (V)RAM the better. ohyouknow
I got it to work on my regular aluminum macbook with 2.0GHz, Nvidia 9400m 256MB, 320GB 7200rpm HDD, windows The video is 960x600 and runs pretty well with low graphics. I can play with low graphics at 1280x720 at low frame rate though. At 1280x800 I get really low framerate and is hard to play.
