I use original installation DVDs from the next generation of Macbook (Core 2 duo) but when I try to install Leopard, I have this error : Mac OS X could not be installed on your computer How can I fix this ? Thanks. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/139814-macbook-tiger-leopard/ Share on other sites
shavex
I sure would like a way around this too, but i'm pretty sure its a legal thing so that you cant just borrow your friends Mac install discs to get the new leopard. Konami®
Why just go to eBay and bought a cheap retail dvd? if you have a real Mac, you should go for the real deal. Mickos
It's impossible to upgrade your 'old mac' using a restore dvd of a newer version.. so get a legal retail DVD and it should be fine. Indeed, the operating system does not cost that much, no need to hack it, you should buy it.
