og-phantom
hi guys. after trying and trying so hard, i have finally solved the problem. now 10.5.2 kalyway is running on my asus z92km (a6km) but maybe anyone can help me and tell my why??? the main problem had been my grafphics card. it was not recognized and so i just had 1024x768 as graphic mode. when i had tried to install kext file for my nvidia geforce 7300 go the system crashed after few minutes of working. i have tried nvkush, nvinject, titan, natit and manually editing - everytime same problem. so installed tiger version 10.4.8 JAS and voila, geforce 7300 go is recognized properly. so i decided to copy the natit and other required kext files and install again kalyway and then copied manually the kext files from the jas system to the new kalyway system. all the other files, that were not required has been deleted. and now i can change resolution, with natit. the only thing is, that i haven´t got ci and qe anymore. but can anyone tell me plz, why the copied natit works out normal and when i try to install natit from dvd, the system crashes??? and is there a possibility to get back ce and qi? aaaand last question, should i now try and update to ideneb 10.5.5 or is that not possible. thanks for your answers... cheers Have you tried NVDarwin? It is here in the forums. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/139623-geforce-7300-go/#findComment-991442 Share on other sites
Lanceomni
Hi guys, i have got a "last" problem. nearly everything works fine with kalyway 10.5.2, wifi, audio, usb ... just my grafix don´t work. i have not selected one from installation dvd, because when i do that, my system freeze always 3-5 minutes after starting. but when i dont install a driver, i just have got 1024x768 pixels, but my native dpi is 1280x768 i have got a laptop, z92km (based on a6km) i have got a gfx card geforce nvidia 7300go, but titan, nvinjectgo and natit don´t work. i installed them and everytime my systems crashes. could someone plz give me an advice or a tip, how i can resolve this problem??? also, i had to remove them with booting -s and then removing the kext files from nvidia and geforce, and now, anyway what i am installing, nothing changes!!! How can i install now any drivers? do i only need the kext file or do i need more files??? thanks a lot, cheers Like josephien said, id give NVkush a try. I do not have any experience with it on mobile graphics but its worth a shot. mudemi
no no no - unfortunately nothing works. i just cannot believe it :/ i am trying really every day with about 5 reinstalls and installing every driver and injecter i can found but everytime same thing. no driver --> no hardware acceleration, just 1024x768 (VESA) nvinjectgo & natit & titan & NVKush & nvdarwin (also manual adding dev-id) --> working fine, with hardware acceleration, native resolution (1280x800) and QE / CI supported ---> BUUUUT, working just for few seconds, maximum had been 2 minutes. doesn´t matter, which injecter, everytime exactly same thing! installing tiger --> gfx works fine, with QE / CI. copying the kext files from tiger, then installing leopard and then copy kext files from tiger in leopard (of course with permission fix etc) --> gfx has no QE/CI, but at least I have got my native resolution (1280x800) What could it be? Is it possible, that there is a problem with the kernel. I also tried modbinkernel, but i cannot start osx with that and with speedstep, osx is very slow :/ plz plz plz help if someone gets this problem solved, i will donate via paypal! pllllllz help me Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/139623-geforce-7300-go/#findComment-994949 Share on other sites
Lanceomni
It almost sounds like some kind of permissions problem like something is reverting the permissions you set. Lanceomni
Just so we are on the same page. You did the following? 1. Removed all video related kexts (nvkush, nvinject...) 2. Copied yourkext.kext to /System/Library/Extensions 3. Entered your admin password when prompted 4. In Terminal wrote: sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/yourkext.kext sudo rm -R /System/Library/Extensions.kextcache sudo rm -R /System/Library/Extensions.mkext 5. Restarted and used the boot flags: -v -f -F Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/139623-geforce-7300-go/#findComment-995249 Share on other sites
Lanceomni
Yeah Id remove all the video kexts and take your pick of one to install. Using the method I posted. Also remember to use the boot flags -v starts up in verbose -f forces all of the kexts to load from the folder and not the cache file and -F overrides any commands you might have in your com.apple.Boot.plist (If you didnt already know. You can add boot flags to be used at boot in this file to avoid having to do it every time.) Honestly the method I described is pretty redundant but it does ensure that you avoid some potential problems. Give nvinjectgo a try first. Lanceomni
I am pretty sure what it shows makes no difference as its whats listed in the bios that counts. I didnt do too much research but it looks like thats an AMD processor your running? If so Id recommend Voodoo XNU kernel & all the updates to 10.5.5 using Zephyroth's Software Update. Its been good to me granted im on a desktop. You have pretty much exhausted my knowledge but I would suggest that if you are running an AMD processor that you should run over to InfiniteMac.com and post your problem there. mudemi
unfortunately i guess i am off now. i will have to give up, cause i cannot find any solution for my problem and it seems that i am on my own with that problem. i can work with my hackintosh fine, but only for some time. with 9.2 sleep kernel, my system crashed after seconds. with the new voodoo kernel 9.5, everything seems to be fine, but sometimes after minutes and sometimes after hours of working, i always get the same kernel panic described in this topic. i have tried so much distro´s like iatkos, ideneb, and so on. everytime same thing. the best one had been kalyway 10.5.2. i updated it to 10.5.5 but anyway nothing changed. same probs with older kernel, same problem with every update. of course there´s no way, to work with such an instable os - really sad right now, but i think i have to go back to windows xp ( i will read on here and hope that anyone will find a solution, but i guess there is no one for this. i have four choises: 1) use tiger with ci/qe 2) use leopard with vesa mode and no ci/qe 3) use leopard with qe / ci and system crash many times a day 4) use winxp but without any crashes i don´t want to, but i have to hope to find anything, that is going to help me cheers Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/139623-geforce-7300-go/#findComment-1006058 Share on other sites
