macaco es joda man, si te va así bien, en los foros dice que se traba la placa cuando le pides cosas gordas (con la bios original), por eso mejor la actualización del bios, ademas hablaba de 10.5.2 donde les fue imposible instalar, sino para que kabyl iba a rehacer la bios???

aquí ha ocurrido que todos teniendo la asus P5W DH Deluxe, con el mismo bios y copiando la configuración no podían instalar.... cosas raras.

es que creer lo que comentan los foreros....... tratamos de buscar la mejor opcion de respuesta a todo, ya sabes, y a veces debemos confiar, ya que no hemos podido pobrar esa placa... que se le va hacer, de doce post que leí 8 decían que imposible....

si crees que puedes perder la placa con la bios, indudablemente no lo hagas.

Pero me sigue detectando 1 solo núcleo?...

NOTA: he iniciado con cpus=2 y arranca pero en la info de mac me dice Core 2 Solo y me muestra 1 solo núcleo en la info del sistema. Una cosa mas cuando arranco con -v veo esto en la info que aparece "HTT: 1 core per pakage; 2 logical cpus per pakage" será que me los toma como una separación lógica en vez de física?!!!!

macos55: 163.56 (sin • ACPI-Fix, como indico arriba)

Gracias por tu respuesta, que significa el -s, porque las pruebas de arriba las hice con cpus=2 solo?!!!

Lo hice asi porque antes cuando no andaba la 10.5.2 iniciaba con cpus=1 y arrancaba.

tb puedes fijarte si tu bios trae alguna opción como "multithreading" o algo parecido, en las placas gigabyte solo puedes acceder a determinadas opciones pulsando ctrl+f1, están ocultas en modo normal, quizás MSI tb tiene opciones ocultas en la bios....

Te has fijado en el post que he puesto anteriormente con respecto a las opciones multithreading? y otra cosa cuando has updatado la bios has limpiado el DMI, cargando los valores por defecto y luego configurarlos de nuevo?

Creo haber leido a alguien que tenia el mismo problema pero en otro idioma. En fin mi problema con ideneb es que cuando termina la instalacion y se reinicia no bootea. Me pone BooT 0: error. ¿como podria solucionarlo?

Tienes alguna instalación de OSX operativa? si es así, descargate el paquete instalador de chameleon, abre el instalador e instálalo sobre el disco duro que quieras, para ello clickea sobre "cambiar ubicación de la instalación" elige el disco y listo.

Ese es el problema que no tengo ninguna otra distribucion operativa. Eso que me comentas si mas o menos sabia hacerlo pero el problema es como hacerlo desde windows xp o meterme con el disco de ideneb de instalacion y hacer algo desde la consola. ¿puede ser?

Es posible instalarlo desde el terminal de tu dvd pero lo tienes más facil para poder acceder a tu particion, descargate el generic.iso del boot-132, grábalo en un cd y reinicia con el puesto en la unidad de dvd, cargará el boot-132, teclea el nº de tu disco duro, generalmente será 80, 81 y así sucesivamente con esto podrás botear tu instalación de iDeneb y una vez configures, instalas chameleon como te he dicho antes.

El boot132 no es más que un bootloader, podrías incluso botear desde él una instalación de windows, al cargar cmo te he dicho se parará esperando que teclees los 2 nºs del disco duro que quieres botear, si te equivocas en el nº dale a esc y podrás volver a teclear un nº nuevo.

1- multithreading no existe en mi Motherboard ni nada que este oculto "Ctrl+F1" etc..

2- Entro en el Setup: de la BIOS F6 "Default Values", reinicio actualizo la BIOS a la v1.8 de kabyl, reinicio coloco todos los valores a default con F6, apago la PC desconectandola de la corriente (por cualquier electrón loco que no quiso ir para el lado que tenía que ir), enciendo la PC configuro la BIOS e instalo "Leopard 10.5.5 cd iDeneb"

Ahora viene lo interesante, mirando mis viejos apuntes de Linux y BSD (este último poco conocido para mi, y encima es la distro en la que está basada Leopard) encontré este comando que te da el HW que te detecta Darwin (el Kernel de Leopard, en mi caso la versión 9.5.0 Original).

No será que el Chameleon me está truncando mi HW?!!!! O simplemente esta funcionado nada mas que la distro esta tocada y no me muestra lo real?!!! (fijence en las Cap's de post anteriores que iDeneb me dice que tengo un "Core 2 Solo"?

Pasos a seguir:

Voy a probar de instalar el 10.5.4 de JaS que no tiene EFI ni Chameleon a ver que pasa.

@TuX creo que no necesita ni un pendrive, ya que iDeneb al estar basado en chameleon, tiene todo lo necesario en el directorio /usr/standalone/i386 solo tiene que teclear

cd /usr/standalone/i386

fdisk -f boot0 -u -y /dev/rdiskX

dd if=boot1h of=/dev/rdiskXsY bs=512 count=2

cp boot /Volumes/Leopard o el nombre del disco/

(X=nºdisco , Y=partición de leopard)

Las incorrecciones en el reconocimiento del hardware puede ser debido a varias cosas, en tu caso influye el tipo de placa, pero tb puede ser debido a otros factores.....Puedes probar el kernel Voodoo? cópialo en el raíz de la partición de leopard, reinicia y en el prompt del darwin teclea "voodoo" (sin comillas) así cargaras con éste kernel en vez del vanilla. Una vez en leopard abre un terminal y teclea:

uname -a (esto te dirá el kernel que has cargado) y seguidamente sysctl -a , copia y pega la información aquí en un codebox, con eso saldremos de dudas si hay algo que detecta mal el kernel vanilla. Por otro lado me gustaría saber que tipo de AppleSmbios estás usando y si tb usas además algun AppleSmbiosEfi o AppleSmbiosresolver.

Bueno al final he conseguido correr ideneb, con el bootloader boot 132 y luego reinstale chameleon bien. Ahora tengo un problema de grafica. Seleccione en la instalacion el driver nkrus para la grafica, y me coge bien la resolucion pero no me soporta la Quarz extreme o algo asi.¿sabe alguien si se puede arreglar? o como hacerlo?

Hay algunas diferencias, por ejemplo en el Voodoo faltan 2 líneas en el Kernel en comparación al Original.

Fijate que en el Voodoo está conf. el "kern.bootargs: boot-uuid" con el flang "cpus=2 -f -v" y yo en el original lo deje en "cpus=2 -f", pero me sigue diciendo, la info del sistema, que tengo un silo núcleo.

Por el tema de la "AppleSMBIOS te copio el contenido de la "info.plist", porque no tengo ni idea de donde sale esto. Yo lo selecciona del DVD cuando lo instalo. (adjunto detalle de todo lo que seleccione para la instalación)

En su configuración de la Bios, tenía activada el Limit CPUID, que solo debe activarse si utilizamos sistemas operativos más antiguos como Windows 95/98/Me que vieron luz antes de que los procesadores Pentium implementaran el Hyperthreading(HTT)... Si esta opción la tenemos activada con sisteas operativos modernos puede dar lugar a errores en la deteccion de los procesadores multicore y posiblemente es por eso que iDeneb funcionase, porque detecta el procesador como monocore.

Después analizo lo de la BIOS porque yo estaba pensando en cambiar de nuevo a la 1.9 Original porque con la de 1.8 modificada no he notado nada de diferencia, al igual que con el Kernel Voodoo y el Vanilla.

Bueno mañana pruebo el Voodoo con 2 Core's y después les cuento.

Avisen si el Xbench sirve o no para tener de punto de comparación.

Atentodo quiero felicitaros por el foro y por el gran trabajo que realizais resolviendo dudas, hace un tiempo q vengo trasteando con varias distros de Mac para oSx86... cualquier duda que me ha surgido la he resuelto simplemente leyendo el foro, pero ahora tengo una con el iDeneb v3 que me parece interesante para comentarla, no s un gran problema realmente:

Tengo una placa base Asus P5K VM

procesador Core2 Quad 2,4 ghz Q6600, chipset P35 e ICH9,

4 gb de RAM DDR2 a 1066 Mhz

disco duro SATA Seagate de 300 gb

grabadora Aopen SATA

para rematar me compre el teclado original apple y might mouse con cable.

Weno os comento esta distro de ideneb me cogió casi el 100% del hardware la primera vez pero fui ambicioso en la instalación le puse los drivers ALC 883 6 puertos by taruga y no me los cogió, pensé no pasa nada tengo el pkg de los 883 lo instalo y arreglado pero no me los cogió tampoco, weno una serie de importunios me llevaron a volver a instalar esta distro ya q me parece muy completa y me gusta la idea de estar acualizado en la version 10.5.5 de este maravilloso sistema operativo, asi q esta vez con los drivers ALC883 puesto desde la instalación pues me funciona el sonido con tres salidas: la digital la de auriculares y la salida de línea y tres entradas: micrófono entrada de línea y altavoces internos... lo cual no está mal (pero igual se puede mejorar) ahora mi pregunta es:

Yo en otras distribuciones he hecho funcionar el Time Machine y he entrado en su pantalla (ya sabeis se baja el escritorio se pone un fondo como en el espacio y ves todas las copias deseguridad en casacada en 3d... pues bien esta distro no me lo hace, ni esta vez ni la vez anterior q me la instalé... decidme, ¿es normal? tengo q dcir no obstante que las copias si que las realiza con total normalidad...

Pregunta: No será mejor instalar el Leo de nuevo, con la "Set Limit CPUID" deshabilitada para que me tome bien el micro desde el principio...?
