JimBob
No crashing or really strange behavior so far. I'm not sure if I like the changed location of the "x" to close tabs, to within the tab rather than the far right of the window (like Safari's). It was faster to close four or five tabs the old way, but not that huge a loss in time over the course of my life, I don't think. From their website (http://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox2), it sounds like it will be a while before many new features start showing up.
domino
I install TabX extension for all my Ff 1.5 installs. I find it more convenient to close the tabs from the tabs itself rather than having the close button on the far right ride. I guess it's just a matter of preference. Since this is still an alpha, you won't see an accurate change log and I prolly won't be using it until the beta stage. Unless of course they fix the memory problem firefox is notoriously know for. Then you will have to say goodbye to your favorite extensions unless you know how to create 2 Firefox installs on one machine.
wesley
domino, middle-click the tab. It will close. I dunno why they didn't make this clear, but Firefox already had the best of both worlds in 1.5.
Acid_Burn
domino, middle-click the tab. It will close. I dunno why they didn't make this clear, but Firefox already had the best of both worlds in 1.5. Here give´s the 1.5.0.2 Intelversion of Firefox with Geckoengine of the Date 20060323! It´s very stable for me and all Extensions works fine. All Extensions from 1.5 don´t work in 2.0....
Pu7o
Just install Nightly Tester Tools and "force compatibility". The changes between 1.5 and 2.0a1 are minimal anyway, so the extensions shouldn't have many problems.
