Darwinian Dude
a slim, aliminum, 12" portrait landscape touchscreen with stylus 'slate' style computer, running OS 10.4.6 including the hand writing recognition technology they still own that was developed for the Newtons. This will not happen, probably ever, but it would be cool. a button would cause a virtual keyboard to slide out from the bottom of the screen so you could type with your fingers directly on the LCD if so required. The area above this would then be roughly 4:3 format. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/12364-mactablet-pro/ Share on other sites
sigxcpu
the area above would be 16:9, not 4:3. lower Y resolution is 16:9 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/12364-mactablet-pro/#findComment-78167 Share on other sites

Urbz
Very good point. although honestly, i would expect this sort of device to turn out as a touch-screen ipod, which will branch off of the main line and eventually become an Apple PDA...the iHand!!! but i still say that the tablet pc won't happe anytime soon. Is there really a big market for that sort of thing out there. I would rather have an iBook than a touch screen Mac with foldable keyboard... also i feel that a laptop, no matter how small or powerful, can always be one's main computer. A tablet pc, IMO, just isn't the same. -Urby Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/12364-mactablet-pro/#findComment-79846 Share on other sites
