m16
Is it possible to put a kalyway dvd onto a USB drive and install kalyway from that USB drive somehow? Or is there any way to install OSX onto a PC without a Optical drive??? digitallysick
Do have access to another mac? if so try this follow this first http://dancameron.org/general/creating-os-...stall-usb-drive then download osx86tools http://######.com/osx86tools/ once you have restored the image to a usb drive , you add efi so it will be bootable Assuming that you mangaged to image the disk as per the link above, then all you need to do is load OSX86 Tools (again from the link above) and do the following: There is an button toward the bottom right of the app window "Install EFI / Run FDisk" or something like that In there click "Run Script" (with your USB drive plugged in) then select on of the EFI options. I chose Chameleon EFI as I recall. Now !!!Carefully!!! choose the correct disk and partition (most probably Disk2 so choose 2 then the partition number again probably 1 and that should be it. done. Tek
Nice script that does everything for you here. Gives you the option to create an ISO or to a USB/Hard drive. I have done all 3 methods successfully. http://aquamac.proboards106.com/index.cgi?...&thread=496 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/115885-install-osx-from-a-usb-drive/#findComment-838191 Share on other sites
