I dont know what to do... I just got my Black Macbook a weekago... because my last mac was a g3 iMac, and I wanted to switch to OS X from XP. I got a black macbook, and it was great! But the keyboard came sticky... I figured it was one small problem i could fix later... (and its dark black, looks greasy)...

But I went to upgrade my ram from 2gb to 4gb, and I noticed the top of the ram sticks were corroded! I don't know what to do! I think it probably relates to the keyboards "stickiness", does anyone have any suggestions. Its only a week-old, if I take it into the apple store... what will happen?

Thanks

I'm guessing you got it new? Take it to the Apple store and show them. I have found Apple are usually pretty good at replacing stuff.

I guess I forgot to mention my mouse button came mis-shaped. Anyways, I took it into the apple store, and they said the mis-shaped mouse would get me an exchange. I then asked the guy about a macbook air, and he said they would wave the restocking fee. For 300 bucks more, should I upgrade to the macbook air?

I guess the only thing i actually care about is the resale value in december... I plan to sell what ever computer I have in december, wait a month... and then get whatever Apple releases in January... at macworld... does anyone have any advice?

thanks

here's my advice ... quit trying to be a trendy douche. buy a laptop and just use it. the "upgrades" between yearly releases are nominal and do nothing more than keep their revenues going. lemme guess ..you have an e-trade account and are constantly shifting your shares??

nope... lol, I just like to keep my laptops upto date...

It all depends on what you want to do with your laptop. If you're traveling around and just doing menial stuff like word processing and email, then sure get the air, but if you're gonna do a little bit of gaming, graphics, or more "computing" stuff then get the macbook for it's little bit of extra "go" and ports.
