My sreensaver works. no, the screen saver works, and when trying to sleep, only the HD turns off. nothing else for sleep works. I suspect a bad 9700.kext. Could someone PM me a fresh 9700.kext, please, so I can be sure. Thanks in advance. mr_christer Posted March 21, 2006 Share Posted March 21, 2006 Damnit, I don't get it! Today my GN-WIAG02 (Atheros Super G) card arrived. I got it in and configured it with windows, worked fine. But the reason I bought it was for OSX86 and it does not even recognize it!!! It seems to work fine for everyone, but somehow it does not work with my 10.4.5. I already replaced the en0 with en1 and reloaded the IO kexts from the myzar install dvd!! can someone please give me advice what to do next? that really sucks.... mr_christer Posted March 21, 2006 Share Posted March 21, 2006 UPDATE : Fixed it by replacing the IO80211.kext again with the 10.4.5 ifirst extracted the wrong with pacifist, needed to open a package on the dvd. A file something like AppleUpd10.4.5Intel.pkg, extracted just this file and replaced it, now it works great! Don't replace the IONetworkingfamily.kext or you'll loose your broacom lan controller! The card (gigabyte GN-WIAG02) is shown as Airport . I hope I get at least 54g, 108 would be even better... G_G Posted April 28, 2006 Share Posted April 28, 2006 No widescreen resolutions are supported yet on OSX86, so you'll need to choose either to stretch or to have black space Is this true of the x-series cards with the patch? Due to too much hassle, I've taken it out of the box so I can't verify. But widescreen modes are fully supported by Intel chipset. I'm running 1280x800 on my 19" widescreen. I also have 1440x900 but I can't stand small fonts. OSX only gives me 1600x1200. Close, but no cigar. Extract this one to your desktop and open it with pacific.
