There are two types of science, science, and fake science. Global warming is fake science. So is global cooling. Science states, that seasons change, the earth turns, and the sun heats up, and gets colder. The earth moves, and so does the sun. Always has, and always will. Nothing you can do about it. Al Gore's cult taxes won't fix it. Neither will street cameras, and neither will anything you, or the rich do.

 

I think it is so funny, the majority of rediculous {censored} that comes out of the global warming cultists. Like those stupid pictures of the polar bears on ice caps hunting for food, while the retards claim that the arctic is melting. If that was true, then NY would have been under water 20 years ago. They never mention Antarctica... which melts hundreds of miles of ice every summer, then gains it back during the winter there.

 

Its just like the magicians trick. They don't mention mars' ice caps, or the other planet's, anymore than the government mentions building 7 on 9/11. The idiot indictrinated public believes everything they say without questioning it.

When it comes to the environment, there is no conspiracy going on. Liberals are a lot more simple than you think. Al Gore just REALLY cares about the environment and he feels like its in danger. He is so passionate about it that he will do anything to help it (whether that includes making government bigger or not), and since its the environment, most people don't want to stop him, and why should they.

 

Even if the environment isn't as damaged by people as we think, we should still do everything in our power to have as little impact as possible, the Earth is a life, it sustains us. It lasts a lot longer if we don't gorge ourselves of its flesh and instead take tiny nibbles that can be repaired. This will ensure that future generations of people can live here. Screw anybody who doesn't care about the environment, all of them are simply out of touch with what it means to be a human being on this planet. These people who DON'T care need a reality check, they need to be shown what its like to actually be a living thing in an environment. Even talking about this issue in this way is idiocy.

What many people don't understand is that Environmentalism isn't really about the environment for human beings, it would be nice if we could respect the environment and treat it as family. However most human beings are incapable of this, so here's a point that most people CAN grasp. Environmentalism is about US. It is about HUMAN BEINGS having a place to live. It is about HUMAN BEINGS surviving past this generation. It is about HUMAN BEINGS being able to sustain ourselves and continue to evolve, grow, progress socially. If we do not maintain the environment, we may very well survive, but our advanced civilization will be a distant memory, faded. We will literally go backwards in time technologically (and I would argue socially) if we cannot move toward a cleaner future for all of us.

Climate fluctuations are a fact of life here on Earth. In fact, we have been benefiting from an unusually long period of climate stability. It is my personal opinion that the media, in their efforts to sensationalize, are doing more to discredit the various global warming theories than the critics themselves. This is unfortunate. In our efforts to be heard, emotionalism and irrationality creep into the discussion. Regardless of what side of the debate you're on, it is too easy to take one small part of the discussion and use it to discredit the entire argument.

 

The truth of the matter is Earth has always experienced climate change and most of those changes were on scales that boggle the mind. We have the paleoclimate evidence of such things. Such changes are not relegated to some distance past either. Check out such topics like the "medieval climate optimum" and the period that followed. "The Little Ice Age" puts those immortal words, "Let them eat cake!" in a whole new light. It's been happening throughout human history and it's happening now.

 

Because climate change has happened before does that mean we aren't exacerbating the process now? Of course not! Like many today, I personally think we are making a tremendous impact. That impact will be costly for some... but not all. The current climate models clearly show there will be winners and losers. But even small changes can have big affects. Look at what is happening today with the price of grains!

 

All that said, whether we believe in global warming or not, we can all agree the use of hydrocarbon compounds is poisoning our environment. In the oceans to our own back yards, we are witnessing the negative effects this has on the ecology all around us.... and unfortunately human health is not immune. Much of what the "climate hippies" are proposing.. ie, cleaner renewable energy, conservation, stricter environmental protectionism... will have wide ranging positive effects. If implemented correctly, with minimal hype, they can also come with tremendous economic benefit.
