"Graphics Mode"="640x480x32" -xworked fine. Make sure both sides of the equals mark are quoted and to append the -x without quotes. It is butt-ugly and it does skip performing post-install but it works. You need to do the setup directly once logged in--I suggest waiting until fully done with the installation. You do not "lose" anything by skipping the post-install.
