I have two brand new imac core duo 20" . Both machines when you launch front row the screen goes bezerk! I have repaired permissions etc. These machines are less than a week old! Anyone else have this problem?

Sounds like a problem with the graphics gpu - artifactes can indicate cooling problems. Call apple will your still under limited warantee and get them replaced asap!

I've already contacted applecare on this issue. They "say" it's the first one of this nature. They are leaning towards the cause being the additional ram I ordered for the video card. Hmmmmmm

yep it seems 256mb vram is the problem according to this page
http://www.macintouc...orts/imacintel/

thats really annoying since the extra 128mb is pretty much an unnecessary upgrade for 95% of users.

Ick. That issue sucks. Don't we all love first generation of things?

Wow, that does suck. Perhaps that's something they'll have fixed when 10.4.5 comes out - I have the feeling they'll fix quite a few bugs with that release.
