54mbps
OK. I have a problem. I would like to get Halo 2 running on my macbook pro, but i have no idea to begin. I would prefer not to spend any more money than just buying the CD. P.S I would like to know if it would be easier to emulate Halo 2 Vista or simply to emulate Halo 2 (xbox) Any help would be greatly appreciated. PPS: I only have 64mb RAM and Halo 2 Vista requires 128mb
hecker
Well, if you have such little VRAM then I guess the point is probably mute. But in theory I think you should be able to install Vista via BootCamp and then install Halo 2 on top of that. hecker
aaronsadowsky
some company is also making compatibility updates for XP so Halo 2 can run on XP, dunno how it will work w/ bootcamp though http://nikon.bungie.org/news.html?item=18626

vin
64MB VRAM on a Macbook Pro? Thats impossible. Its either 128Mb or 256Mb. Did you mean the Macbook (not the Pro)? yep. if it's macbook, don't bother to play those advance 3D games.. I bet you get superb-ultra low fps. unless you set to 640x480 resolution

OMX-Knuckles
A GMA-950 wouldn't be much good for Halo 1, let alone Halo 2. I'd imagine you'd need a pretty good graphics card for that- my 8800 handles it fine but that's not saying much. I'll try H2 with my Dell when the 6800GT gets here and see how it handles. vbetts
According to the requirements for Vista, you're pc rating needs to be at a 3 to run halo 2 with decent frames.test post right quick
Suzuka
Hmm its possible on cider, but not on a Macbook and that video is probably fake, the Joystick on a nunchuck sucks in darwiine remote, and thats hallo
sportman
should be interesting I will try and give it agoIt seems most of the workarounds to get halo running on xp require a type of bat file or a loader file to load the halo 2 exe I am reading up on it.
