TopazBar
Pentium D805, 2.66 broke the previous ceiling of 90 with new score of 138.52. Heeyaaa... Thanks to mifki for new kernel. BTW, no overclocking whatsoever involved. EDIT: Also got 143.63 and then 140.46. EDIT: this version of kernel has FSB fixed at 200 (kossi found this), which invalidates my Xbench score . EDIT: fixed FSB to 133. it yielded 93.92, and 94.03 . well, it still broke the ceiling, but by very small improvment.

Your work shines. I wanted to bring the news to fellow ASRock mobo owner who have overclocked conroe chips, and they should be able to out do mine by miles. TopazBar
BACKUP first in case things go wrong thx alot i will try.... infamous: i have dual screen dvi and d-sub... on old install it was working but i try now... This is what I did in a nutshell: I installed 10.4.4 without any patches from a bootable DVD - new partition. I installed Official Apple 10.4.8 combo update package without any patches - from a working partition. I installed new mach_kernel and AppleSMBios.kext from 10.4.4 - from a working partition. Rebooted to new partition, and applied following patches: Sound, Framebuffer, Realtec network driver.

Infamous
I would try now however i don't have 10.4.4 install DVD.
aberracus
Infamous you dont need 10.4.4 use any JAS distro, they all are 10.4.4 and then the patches are applied in the customization phase. I would love to try it but anyone can help me with the instructions i already have the second partition.. (really a second HD) this are the instructions: How to test 10.4.8 Kernel? MacGeek Wow to: http://macgeek.freeflux.net/blog/archive/2...l-test-env.html First wich one would be the name for my second hd? Volume2? and my partition is called Xlabs .... any help? ok so teh 10.4.8 decrypts? R2d2? can someone guide from this point on ? THANKS
Rammjet
I would try now however i don't have 10.4.4 install DVD. If you take an OSX install DVD and do not select any of the hacked patches, you will be installing 10.4.4. Extract the MacOSXUpd10.4.8Intel.pkg to your Desktop and right-click on it and choose Show Package Content. Browse to Content/Resources and drag 'n' drop the InstallationCheck file to the trash. Now double-click the pkg and install to the second partition. • And that's it? Well, this can boot to single user mode for sure. But if you want to test further, you need the 10.4.8 decrypts... First wich one would be the name for my second hd? Volume2? and my partition is called Xlabs .... any help? ok so teh 10.4.8 decrypts? R2d2? You need the decrypts or r2d2 if you compile semthex's kernel. If you download mifki's kernel package, once you have installed 10.4.8, just copy over the new kernel and the included kext, repair permissions, delete Extensions.mkext and Extensions.kextcache and reboot. aberracus
thans Ramjet as usual, u are fast and helpfull, The only kext that came with mifki pack was AppleSMBIOS.kext is everything inside? so i dont need to add anyother kext like r2 or something? Ramjet and what about this question: wich one would be the name for my second hd? Volume2? and my partition is called Xlabs .... any help?
