Ced2911
Hi, i'm having some issues with my hackingtosh. My current build settings are: mb: gigabyte ga-h77tn cpu: celeron g1620 gpu: AMD hd5450 Bootloader: Clover Everytime i want to shutdown my compute i have this kernel panic: http://pastebin.com/RHvMFaYW Look it's still using the igp. I'm using clover gpu injector for using the AMD gpu card (fakeid method), gpu injector is set to false for intel and nvidia. Video acceleration is working. I don't understand why it's still using the intel framebuffer. I can't disable the igpu in the bios settings. Do someone know if it's possible to disable it with clover config ? Allan
If you don't have this option in your BIOS, disable via DSDT: DSDT/SSDT: Disable dedicated GPU to extend battery life (Laptop-exclusive)
Ced2911
Hi, i tried but haven't found the _INI section. Is it possible to disable intel framebuffer kext on the fly, by clover patching ? Like with a bad header kext so osx doesn't load them ?
Allan
Try this: How to delete kexts for enable video.
WaldMeister
Hi, i can't disable it on bios, i don't have this option :s You could try removing the Intel kexts, just back them up to a folder and remove them from the extensions folder. Reboot without caches, and see if OS X defaults to VESA graphics, or tries to enable the AMD GPU. Could also be that the system becomes unbootable because of this, so be prepared to restore a backup! As a final option you could look for an unlocked bios that enables the options. Warning though, this can break your system! If you don't have this option in your BIOS, disable via DSDT: DSDT/SSDT: Disable dedicated GPU to extend battery life (Laptop-exclusive) If the option to disable the Intel integrated graphics is not present in bios, i don't think it's even possible to disable them at all? The guide only applies to ATI/NVIDIA.

Ced2911
So i tried to delete the IntelHD4000 and IntelFramebuffer related files. Now they seem to be not loaded. But i still have the same issues with the kext deleted. http://i.imgur.com/gVlQHC0.jpg I booted without cache several time.
Allan
Repair the disk permissions and rebuild the cache, use KextUtility for that.
WaldMeister
Did you do an ACPIPlatform rollback? Version seems kinda off.
Ced2911
Repair the disk permissions and rebuild the cache, use KextUtility for that. I tried that, even on single user and clearing nvram, still the same issues. Did you do an ACPIPlatform rollback? Version seems kinda off. Do you think I need to use ACPIPlatform.kext from an older version ?
styrian
Hello! Which SMBios are you using? If it is an iMac one, try to change to the one of a MacPro ( perhaps 3,1). Have fun.
Ced2911
So I reinstalled yosemite, I inject some bad IMEI and IGP id with clover. Now i don't have any IntelHd or IntelFramebuffer related kext loaded. But i still have this shutdown issue. Is it possible that com.apple.driver.AppleIntelFramebufferCapri/com.apple.driver.AppleIntelHD4000Graphics are load them at shutdown ? kextstat: http://pastebin.com/5PLP0SSa clover config: http://pastebin.com/ytLNFFxG
