The end of Perian?

I was surprised and shocked to read about the demise of Perian. Sad to see these guys go after some many years of input, thanks for your effort!

We will post the source code to either Google Code or Github.
Perhaps someone will pick it up. Community project perhaps? :)

Wow...I've been using Perian as long as I've had a mac. They did an excellent job in providing a highly useful tool!

Perian's problem was/is Quicktime. Come on Apple! All the Apple apps that once made OSX cool haven't been updated since SL
