Hi, when I install plugins fakesmc, IntelCPUMonitor and SuperIOFamily.kext... in the kernel log does not appear to me:
AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement: Turbo Ratios 1144
only appear AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement: initialization complete
AppleIntelCPUPowerManagementClient: ready

but if I remove these plugins already appears:
AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement:Turbo Ratios 1144
AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement: initialization complete
AppleIntelCPUPowerManagementClient: ready
someone can help me? why does this happen?

does anyone know if applying  IntelCPUMonitor.kext to a Macbook Pro (i5) 2012 model would allow access to stuff like speedstep through the SMC?

I dont know - better ask at the newer HWsensors thread. There you also get newest FakeSMC + newest sensor extensions + new HW Monitor App.

REAL Macbook Pros DO NOT use FakeSMC, which is a prerequisite for all the plugins ...

I'm having trouble getting IntelCPUMonitor to properly detect my CPU frequencies. I'm using the latest version from SVN.
During boot Chimera detects the following:

While IntelCPUMonitor detects:

Furthermore, I had to manually set Tjmax to 100, which is the correct value for my processor. If I left it on autodetect (0), then my laptop would reproducably freeze during boot when my cpu temperature is higher than approximately 65°C, right after displaying:

Does anybody know how I can get IntelCPUMonitor to show the correct values for my processor?

Again , IntelCPU + FakeSMC you use is outdated.
Use the set around HWSENSORS : http://www.insanelym...howtopic=275429
Use github link : https://github.com/kozlek/HWSensors  , for DOWNLOAD click on ZIP-Icon, the binarys (ready to use) are in the downloaded .zip folder Binaries.
IntelCPUMonitor is renamed to CPUMONITOR now.
YOu need at least that FAKESMC + the CPUMONITOR for your usage.

Oops, I'm sorry. I must have overlooked that it was renamed. I just assumed that since I got it from SVN it must be the newest available

IntelCPU + FakeSMC is not outdated. It is under developing and now has revision 615.
Kozlek just create his own branch to check some technologies at his mind.

Thanks Slice.  I downloaded the new version you compiled from ProjectOSX and it's working just fine on my ML installation on my Dell Inspiron 1720.  Just need to do something about the X3100 graphics and I'd be willing to replace Lion with ML.

SmartGuardian is a FAN tuning for ITE chips. Usually on Gigabyte motherboards.

Thanks - did the smartguardian (with helper) needs the ITE.kext for working ?
And what does OEMSMSBIOS.kext - has some config.plist ? I use that smsbios settings in chameleons smsbios.plist - is that an addon or complete differerent thing?

The purpose of the kext is to provide other plugins with information what is the real hardware you use because a bootloader say that you use real Mac
OemSmbios.kext gives more info that you can use in ITE.kext/info.plist to configure your sensor.
