Doc_Tor
Give it a try, and later you will confirm what everyone here has told you: no way. Between Ultimate and other versions, Ultimate need more resources. And will use more ram. In my laptop I have Home Premium, and in my desktop I have Ultimate 64 bits (runs great) Where did you get the information that Ultimate needs more resources? I was under the impression the difference was minimal to the point where you would never notice?
RelientTU
My login to MSoft shows me my Win7 product key (which is always constant regardless of pick), then asks what version I want to download today to use that key on, x86 or x64, ISO, or DMG Why would they allow you to download a DMG? Isn't that an OS X install format?

Hueythefreeman
I tried to convert a Windows 7 Ultimate installation to Enterprise and it didn't work out well. One thing you can do is convert the Windows 7 Ultimate disk into a multi-installer DVD that can install all the other version of 7 (except Starter and Enterprise). Tozzo13
I have tried using an Enterprise key with Ultimate and I can assure you it doesn't work, the key is rejected instantly, you don't never need to be connected to the internet for it to happen.
