Try the AppleHDA.kext anyway, perhaps that will help...

OK, now i upgrade to 10.6.4, replace AppleHDA.kext into S/L/E ...and sound works :)

Now i want to understand if extentions.mkext into USB Boot is necessary ... or not.

For resume from stop/sleep i have to upgrade bios to F6, ..with F4 doesn't work.

What bios version do u have ?

another problem :)

Restart doesn't work :( ...blank screen without reboot

Hey Xfaega:

First, watch my vid on YouTube:

www.youtube.com/renutechsolutions

Just kidding. :P

But seriously, if you want to cure the issue of no sound then try this, buy the Siig USB SoundWave 7.1 Pro along with an optical cable (if you have a digital connection). If you don't and have speaks that have a pin connector then get the other Siig USB SoundWave unit. That should solve yours AND EVERYBODY ELSE'S SOUND ISSUES. It did mine. I should know, READ THE LAST 3-4 PAGES BEFORE THIS ONE.

Poor Cybex, he went through a lot of trouble to help me and still nothing worked, but now everything is just fine. If it doesn't work for you then just return the unit where you bought it from and pray for a better kext file. Hope that helps... Later...

To get sound working, you'll need to use the DSDT in this image: http://www.kexts.com/view/243-gigabyte_ga-...ud7_(v1.3).html. Also use the LegacyHDA.kext in that image, you can install it to /Extra/Extensions.

Furthermore, you need this kext: http://www.kexts.com/view/405-binary_patch..._x_10.6.4).html installed to /System/Library/Extensions.

It will work.

Since 10.6.4 you'll need a patched AppleHDA.kext because Apple hardcoded the device id's. You'll need this: http://www.kexts.com/view/405-binary_patch..._x_10.6.4).html

Hey there! I am really trying hard to get this ga-x58a-ud7 to work with my gtx 460. I know I'm going to have a lot of headaches with the 460 but I just want to get the board up and running first. So my question is this. I followed this projectosx86 guide the same one I used on my old ud5 board but I replaced the Extra folder with the one you posted above. I then was successfully able to install SL but there was no audio and no ethernet. Should I just scrap my install and try doing everything again using kakewalk?

Anyone know any irc chats people are awake in to help?

Hey,

I´ve also the X58A-UD7.

My full specs are:

Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7 (rev.1)

GTX 480,

6GB Mushkin RAM

i7 930

1TB Samsung SpinPoint F3 (completly new)

My Problem:

I´ve used some modify Hackintosh like Hazard or iDeneb in different versions (10.5; 10.6 ...)

My problem is, that i can´t start the installation of the OS. If I start the install for example with the Chameleon bootloader and following instructions:

-v - x cpus=1 maxmem=2048 arch=i386

So the bootloader start to work and read a lot of files, but at the end, he can´t find the acpi table and restart the computer. I´ve also tested a lot of bios settings, but I can´t solve the problem.

Can anyone help me or post the full bios settings?

I use the latest version of bios and a factory new hard drive. Not formatted to ntfs or something. Is it right or wrong?
