Clover_v2.4k_r4061 EDIT: Drop OEM isn't ticket in Clover Configurator, is that correct?
  4. Help > Correct Patch DSDT for Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 7

Unfortunately that didn't help Let me explain what happens. If I let my machine idle for, for example, 5 minutes and I try to open an app, then the app keeps jumping in the dock but doesn't open. If I drag a window of, for example, Safari then the window lags extremely. The system seems to recover itself within a minute and then everything is fine again. Do you think this is related to Power Management?
  5. Help > Correct Patch DSDT for Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 7

I just booted with this configuration, that seemed to work Now I will idle for a couple of minutes and report back. Thanks so far!

  7. Help > Correct Patch DSDT for Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 7

So you mean, create a ssdt.aml via ssdtPRGen, put it in /EFI/Clover/ACPI/Patched, right? I created a ssdt.aml, but I don't understand how I make sure Clover is not doing PM? To use ssdt.aml I check / uncheck the following box in Clover Configurator: Drop OEM (checked) Generate PStates (unchecked) Generate CStates (unchecked) Enable C2 -> C7 (unchecked) Is this correct? When I do this, then my Mac doesn't boot up anymore, but when I do this it works: Drop OEM (unchecked) Generate PStates (checked) Generate CStates (checked) Enable C2 -> C7 (unchecked) But after 5 mins or something being idle, the computer is becoming unresponsive. Can you please guide me a bit more? I'll buy you a beer for it ;-)

Thank you MaLd0n for your help! I used this post (yours) to get my hack running and it's running pretty sweet. There is just one thing that is bothering me: when I leave my computer idle for let's say 10 minutes and I come back, then my computer is *very* slow. Mouse works, but apps aren't launching and I can't move windows anymore. I disabled screensaver, disabled screen off. What could be the issue of this behaviour?
  9. Why not cooperate with http://www.osx86.net instead?
  10. Atheros AR9285 fix for Snow Leopard - Mavericks

I've got an Atheros AR9287 (vedor/device id: 168c:002e). I tried to add the device id to the AirPortAtheros21.kext, but that didn't work. Now I tried Andy's DeviceMergeNub_atheros.kext, but that didn't work either. Any suggestions would be VERY welcome!
  11. Oh you are using a distribution, I thought it was a retail installation. Sorry, but I have no idea how to do it on iAtkos. The link I mentioned in my previous post is an USB image that allows you to boot a Retail DVD.
  12. Try using these kexts: http://www.kexts.com/view/629-intel_dp55sb.html.
  13. Perhaps you are using the "cheap" JMicron chip based SSD's? Those really suck, especially when used for a longer period. The Intel X-25 based SSD's are good though.
  14. To get sound working, you'll need to use the DSDT in this image: http://www.kexts.com/view/243-gigabyte_ga-...ud7_(v1.3).html. Also use the LegacyHDA.kext in that image, you can install it to /Extra/Extensions. Furthermore, you need this kext: http://www.kexts.com/view/405-binary_patch..._x_10.6.4).html installed to /System/Library/Extensions. It will work.
  15. You are welcome! And I love the video, nice work. Waiting for the full Hackintosh video
