mitch_de
http://www.applelife.ru/topic/20260-platfo...rd/page__st__20 Platformprofiler.kext (for SMC usage) - Snow Leo only: I understand that i must use an Bigcomputer1,1 as Mac Modell (in smbios.plist) and can change the dev-id of gpu (GTX260 there) for powermanagement of my NV GPU in the powerplatformer .plist. (google translate helped to understand at least that above ) But i dont really understand all for such an try - its all russian Anyone tested this on Snow Leo ? netkas
looks like its legacy injector for ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin
mitch_de
Yep - that it does. I find it very difficult to change ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin for usage on C2D + gpu, because such lot of subfolder keys for cpu powermanagement + gpu things + .... Perhaps such an injector may help to get it more simple. What i dont understand in general, i use iMac 5,1 which has of course no / near no gpu powermanagements in his smc part, the problem that changing Mac modell without thinking to for example MacPro3,1 or iMac8,1 iMac9,1 what may happen with gpu powermanagement and cpu powermanagement ? I now have no powermanagement and C2D stays also very cool. (iMac 5,1), so SMC loaded at all, no IntelCPUPowermanagement loaded. But that gpu powermanagement for testing would be fine - i am complete unsure if my 9600 GT does run always ib high MHz or get throttles by itself (gpu BIOS). Until now there is no gpu-z. Its possible to run OpenCL test, but there is always shown max. MHz gpu can do - not the actual MHZ. THANKS - russian OX86 community looks to be very, very aktive to do such things

mitch_de
Can someone explain the usage thing with the MacModell BigComputer1,1 ? For my understanding, i must use Bigcomputer1,1 as MacModell (in smbios.plist of /Extra) to get those powermanagement values injected. I now use iMac5,1 as MacModell , because i have C2D CPU and not an XEON CPU (MacPro3,1 + MacPro4,1). And i alo understand that i can chabe BigComputer1,1 to any other (in the .plist) but not to any other existing MacModells. A bit confusing whith this . I dont have CStates (BIOS hasnt and i dont want them at all) but have PSTates (with dsdt injection). So my goal is to get the gpu powermanagement working and not cpu powermanagement (no CSTATES, i use therefor PSTATE trotthling by speedstep). For my understanding the orig. Mac cpu powermanagement only uses that CSTATE way (please comment if i am wrong). Thanks for any explain that MacModell usage thing with that new .kext.
