and what about burn CD's/DVD's?

 

Well yeah you are right,It won't let me burn either,I guess we need a new nforce4 driver

My SATA LG burner recognizes the blank dvd but it refuses to burn anything :rolleyes:

I don't get any KP it just won't burn,and i guess this nforce driver won't get the job done either..right?

If you are about to rewrite the driver, can you please add my device id in?

Hey Andy,

Would you think that the Nvidia Nforce Pro 2200 chipset would work using your driver? cause i have the phy connection failed every time i boot up so i was wondering if you could try and add my chipset the name of the chip is CK804 i am not sure what device id it is so yeah.

Sorry for this lame question.. but m new to the osx86 scene..

my system is working fine, out of the box, wid some few bugs.. like my ethernet is working.. shows connected.. but i knt access internet.. and sata drives r very slow.. eveything else is wrkin gr8..

i jst want to ask how kn i fix thez.. and ho to install the provided zip file i.e " AppleNForceATA.zip ( 899.55K ) "

i hv gigabyte amd nforce motherboard..

hate to bump such an old topic. anyways... this kext works fine for 4GB, but doesnt allow my dvd the read dvds. MeDevils AppleNForceATA.kext.TEST.zip works perfectly dvd wise, but not memory wise. Is it possible at all to copy the device ids or something like that?

i tried the driver. but i still cant burn dvd's with sata drive. (samsung SH-S223Q) 0x80020022 error code.

should i remove old applenvidiaata.kext(medevil test) form /system/librery/extentions ?

 

one question: for installation just copy the folder in the right position or rename it into *kext, too for the right installation ?

I updated AppleNForceATA.kext for a friend...

Install kext under:

/System/Library/Extensions/IOATAFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns

Have a lot of fun... ;)

 

Hi, sorry for this question but how can I install this on the PlugIns directory? Just copy the files and that's it?

Hello! I was wondering if anyone could recompile the code in order to make an 64 bit AppleNforceATA.kext for Snow Leopard x86_64. I wish I knew how to do this by myself.... Can anyone help me with this? Thank you.

 

Here are some informations about my system:

Motherboard: Supermicro H8DAE-2 with nVidia MCP55 Pro chipset which supports up to two Six-Core AMD Opteron 2000/8000 processors

Super Micro Computer, Inc. - Aplus Products | Motherboards | H8DAE-2

Processor: 1x Opteron 8214 (for the time being) :-)

Ram: 4 GB Samsung DDR2 667 Registered ECC Unbuffered

Graphics Card: Nvidia 9400 GT

I also have two SATA hard disks, 120 GB and 640GB , a Sony IDE DVD reader and an Optiarc DVD Recorder.

WOW!! Thank you soooooo much for this. It solved my very last problem and shaved a minute off my boot time. I tried MANY things to stop "applenforceata found 0 units" and "IOKitwaitquiet timed out" errors on boot. You rock! B)
