FullMetal
but http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?versionId=928 it should work D:! (the second one) its an install shiel program There are many differences between Wine and Darwine. The big one is Wine works (To an extent) and Darwine Doesn't (To an extent) Most programs that I have tried in Darwine haven't worked. Darwine if far from being anywhere near Wine is, but Apples move to Intel should help them.
Pantalaimon
when darwine developers develop an official darwine will i can run those programs?? or its just impossible O.O??
FullMetal
when darwine developers develop an official darwine will i can run those programs?? or its just impossible O.O?? Probably. As I said the switch to intel is helping them tremendously. Before, with a PPC CPU they had QEMU code out into Wine which really slowed things down. Now due to the Intel CPUs they can remove that code and hopefully have a working OSX port of WINE. No it is not immposible!
wanadoo
I see that X11 is needed to get Darwine working, but when I try to install X11 it tells me that I can't put it on my HD since a newer software is already there. So I look in the Applications folder, and I search using Spotligh, but I can't find it. I have seen people post this problem before and they solved it, but they never posted the solution. =) Thanks in advance! /Igor

johnniecarcinogen
Has ANYBODY SEEN THIS ERROR?? IF SO CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME INSTALL THE freetype Fonts??? The best way would be to install DarwinPorts and then in the terminal type sudo port -d selfupdate sudo port search freetype to see the exact spelling of the freetype packages available (cap sensitive) and then sudo port install "name of freetype package" without the quotes ofcourse. Its just like apt if you are familiar with that.

johnniecarcinogen
winecfg.exe wont run... dilnalomo, Its been a few months since i submited this guide but perhaps you need to do step 4 again (in the first post) and then run winecfg. If you reboot before you configure wine after doing step 4, step 4 becomes moot because it is in the 'temp dir' (which gets wiped clean every boot on OS X). I am not sure if darwine has changed since its been updated. net64852, you can download xcode for free off the web. if you need an older gcc try this http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?sto...4540&mode=print
