gkr41
So, has anyone found a solution for the shutdown problem? The chud method is not an option for me, since my CPU has only one core, and the modified working kernels are not vanilla.

hiroshi
tried this with P5K-VM Micro ATX and I get static when it starts to make a sound... if I try to make a system sound repeat over and over it distorts. This happens with every driver I've tried so far. (using Kalyway 10.5.2 -> Kalyway 10.5.3 update) I haven't found anyone else with this problem, though... Thanks to the maker of this kext. Now if only I can figure out if it's possible to get the OS to recognize when I plug in my headphones to cut the internal speakers and go to headphones....anyone have any idea? shriek
I;ve been trying to get my Realtek ALC883 working on the C90S for a year now. I've trying every single ALC883 kext out there and nothing works. I've asked taruga about it when his forum was still up and he said I problably had different pinups... a thing you could possibly fix with time but unfortunately for me he is not doing it anymore. Anyone know where I could get more info on this? what to really change? I've got my ubuntu dump and Taruga's patcher 1.20 and although I can get the audio devices to appear in the pref pane, I cant get audio and About My Mac says I haven't got audio built in. Any help/insight would really be appreciated

twi5t
here is the final release of THE GENIOUS TARUGAthis version of the driver support 5.1 channel with all the 3 outputs (needed on digital 5.1 kit) tested and working here is the link : http://wiki.taruga.net/tiki-download_file.php?fileId=68 use the aggregate fix to enable 5.1 channel : in audio/midi config EDIT : mirror for this link : http://www.mediafire.com/?j0lnmnwwgms WORKS!!! i haven't rebooted yet. fingers crossed (as kext helper says) that it will stay working. worst case scenario, i make installing this package part of my startup routine. i can handle that.
