asdfasdfasdfasdfasdfasdfas
what exactly happens on shutdown? and do you happen to use Taruga's patcher for sound?
^_^
what did you use to install? kernel version? netkas modified ToH kernel works for me. if you have the same kernel, try reinstall it. If you don't know how go here: johnniecarcinogen guide download it, just install the shutdown reboot fix kernel from the install option. reboot and it should work. exman
Kalyway 9.2.0 sleep kernel works well for me. Fast sleep, fast wakeup, shutdown take about 1 minute and restart about 30 seconds. But I have a desktop.

Kernel is kind of a karma for me, I am not expert on it too, i have been reading, playing around with it but sometimes even if you know it'll 100% works but after clearing cache, repairing permission, and such just won't do it... strange... When i first update to 9.2.2 my shutdown works too but i found after installing some apps with .com files, it stop shutting down. so i re downgrade my kernel and it works great, haven't had any problem.
