I think it's normal. Mine also does this.

 

It's because after enabling the AHCI support the internal Hard Drive is detected as a removable Hard Disk (you could see it in the "system profiler" - i don't know if this is the exact name because I'm spanish and I have my Leopard in my language  :) ).

 

If you don't like it you always could replace it with the white one :(

Orange icons are correct as AHCI drives are hot swappable.

But if you dont want that functionality, then use the following kexts from brazilmac patch and you will get the shiny aluminium icons.

IOAHCIFamily.kext v1.0.3

AppleAHCIPort.kext v1.0.7

That is not a fix, it is just swapping icons around. The downside is USB/Firewire drives will show up with Aluminuim icons if you do that.

 

No they won't that is what I used and they still show up as external orange drives.

Hi Guys,

 

When I enable AHCI the Hard Drive icons are Orange, I can't disable otherwise it crashes after hrs, specs are below. If you can help me change it to the way it's supposed to be I'd appreciate it ;) please help :P , thanks for your time!
